ok so here's where to post the answer in the link

figure out the answer to this math problem and you put your answer in the url

phew got it!...don't worry so much about decimals at all...its not that complicated. and be sure to use all words not numbers!

This is one of those ugly math problems you hate in school. It's all about time vs. speed, vs. distance.

Check out this math tutor page for help...this should get you on your way.

http://mathforum.org/dr.math/faq/faq.two.trains.html

you have to write out the number AND the time measurement without spaces...like threehours or sevenhours

haha! i underst
and how to do it... (it took me a while and a piece of paper....) and i tried EVERYTHING!!!!

get a peice of paper and draw a line with 10 evenly spaced out Xs

___x__X__X__X__X__X__X__X__X__X
like above

then as the first witch goes her first 10 miles cross out two of the lines

--X--X__X__X__X__X__X__X__X__X

then do opposite for the 15 mile an hour witch

--X--X__X__X__X__X_X--X--X--X

thats one hour into the travelling
repeat until you have your answer
hope this isnt too complicated
good luck

If you draw it on a piece of paper, and label all the distances (the distance between, and how far each one travels), it really helps.

that is the single best piece anyone can give on this clue, even if maths isn't your strong point if you write the distance and time along the line and put one traveller above in one colour and the other traveller below in a different colour the solution becomes obvious quickly.
